Sydney FC's marquee striker John Aloisi will miss the 2009/10 Hyundai A-League grand final.
Results from MRI scans taken yesterday confirmed a torn left hamstring would keep Aloisi out for between 6-8 weeks.
It is a massive blow to the Sky Blies just five days out from the championship decider.
Aloisi was in good form for Sydney this season netting a club record 10 goals.
''I‘m shattered,'' Aloisi said.
''We have worked so hard to get here and to have it taken from you is really devastating.
''When it happened I knew something wasn’t right but you always have hope. When I got the news from the doctor it was pretty upsetting.''
