 Vineyard's wine gong

Vineyard's wine gong

16 Mar, 2010 12:00 AM
THE Hunter Valley vineyard owned by Lilli Pilli residents Geoff Schippers and Barbara Smith 201 Wines has won a gong at a prestigious wine show.

Its 2009 semillon claimed a bronze medal in the ``named vineyard dry white wine other than chardonnay'' class at the recent Sydney Royal Wine Show.

Mr Schippers was thrilled with the prize and confident of more awards in the future.

``We've already sampled the 2010 semillon and, in my opinion, it's better than the 2009,'' he said.

``We've also recently bottled our 2009 chambourcin to complement the sparkling chambourcin we released in December 2009, so we've now got a full range to offer.''

Stockists of 201 Wines include The Bottle-O at Yowie Bay and Bottleo'Briens at Cronulla.
