SUTHERLAND Shire residents Bosco Bosanac and his wife Jacqui are back in Australia after a moving visit to what remains of the home of Johnny Cash, and meetings with the late, great country singer's descendants.
Bosco and Jacqui, who will be presenting their tribute to Johnny Cash, Ring of Fire, at Sutherland Entertainment Centre on Friday, October 23, also performed in Nashville and have been invited to return next year.
"While in Nashville we were taken on a visit to where Johnny and June Cash lived in Hendersonville, Tennessee,'' Bosco said.
"John and June had lived there since the late '60s but after he passed away the house was bought by Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees, and while it was being renovated it burned down, leaving only the rock foundations.
"The property overlooks a beautiful lake. We will always remember our visit there,'' he said.
In Nashville, Bosco and Jacqui performed at Millennium Maxwell House Hotel and other venues during a four-day country music festival.
In the US, they also performed in Memphis, Las Vegas and Orange County, Los Angeles. They are now looking forward to their concert at Sutherland Entertainment Centre where a special guest will be Bruce McCumstie presenting his tribute to another US country great, Willie Nelson.
The concert is proudly supported by the Leader . Bosco and Jacqui will be in Melbourne this weekend appearing at the Crown Casino.
Next month, they are guest performers on the Pacific Dawn, cruising on November 6-15.
