British TV classic comes to stage

THE odd ticket could still be available for Arts Theatre Cronulla's last production for the year, Allo Allo!, which closes on November 29.

This very funny stage version of Allo Allo! is based on the hugely popular BBC television series.

The action takes place in a small town in France during the German occupation in World War II, and follows the adventures of Rene, a hapless cafe owner who, much to his displeasure, is forced by the French underground to hide some British airmen in his shop.

With a cast of 19 and a stuffed parrot doubling as a covert shortwave radio, this production is one of the biggest challenges the theatre has undertaken in recent years partly due to limited space.
