Irish pub closes doors, to be sure

07 Nov, 2009 03:00 AM
SYDNEY'S live music scene hit a sour note again with another popular venue unexpectedly closing its doors.

Less than a fortnight after the Hopetoun Hotel at Surry Hills closed, the Harp Irish Pub at Tempe closed after a dispute between management and the owners.

The venue a stalwart of the live folk, country and traditional Irish music scene closed late last month.

The Harp owners were terminating the lease of the management team because of a dispute between the management partners. They could not say when it would reopen.
