The former bank building, previously unused, has been transformed into a sophisticated venue with quality great food, drinks at affordable prices and plenty of space for functions.

The menu includes $9 steaks and schnitzels from 5pm, Mondays and Tuesdays, and express lunch specials, Mondays to Fridays, for $10.

Certain to win new customers is the Jade VIP Lounge and cocktail bar which is on the first level, where lunches and dinners can be enjoyed from the smart new modern tables and chairs.

The lounge is open until 3am, Mondays to Saturdays, and until midnight on Sundays. On Thursday and Friday afternoons the cocktails are half price, and served with tasty free canapes.

The tavern can expect to become popular among Kogarah firms looking for a stylish venue for functions such as office parties. Catering such as sandwich platters is available for in-house functions.
