AN ENTREPRENEURIAL member of Sutherland Shire Lioness Club has made a cafe on wheels to help the club raise funds.
In keeping with the club's renowned community spirit, Michelle Lang is offering the Grub Shack to other not-for-profit organisations.
Ms Lang said the shed, comprising a grill, coffee machine, juicer and refrigerated bar for sandwiches, would enable the group to offer hot food at events.
She bought most of the components including the barbecue and box trailer off eBay.
She then started assembling the mobile cafe and did most of the work herself, even though she had never done anything like it before and had had no experience.
For the welding and electric work, she had the help of generous tradesmen who either did the work free or charged only for parts.
The van will be named at the club's Biggest Morning Tea for the Cancer Council at 10am to noon this Thursday at Centenary Park, Karimbla Road, Miranda.
