SINGING runs in Dylan Wright's family, so it should come as no surprise when he appears on Australia's Got Talent this month.
His mother, grandmother and great-grandmother were all singers.
Dylan, who's 15 and lives in Gymea, said he auditioned for the Channel Seven reality show for a bit of fun and to get noticed.
``It was pretty nerve-racking and I didn't expect what they were going to say,'' he said.
Dylan writes his own songs and says his music style as ``blues/rock/reggae''.
He said he didn't tell his friends at first about his audition.
``I wasn't sure what they'd think, but they think it's pretty cool and they're looking forward to watching it,'' he said.
Dylan busks regularly in Gymea and is grateful for the support the people of Gymea have given him.
``I'd like to thank the people who supported my busking because I give 10 per cent of my earnings to charity each month,'' he said.
He's donated to five or six local charities over the past few months.
His mother, Anne Denis, said Dylan had a natural ability for music and for writing lyrics.
