Fast forward to today and Belle Adorn has found a new home with its first store at Cronulla.

Belle Adorn is an accessory store that specialises in custom designs and tailored styling.

The business has a focus on weddings and special events with a large range of wedding ceremony and reception decorations, bridal shower and hens' night essentials and high tea tableware to name a few.

The store also stocks baby shower and christening event decorations.

Owner Melissa Culpitt, of Sutherland, who is a visual merchandiser and stylist, launched the business to create a one-stop shop for buyers.

"I wanted to give customers a place to look and feel the goods rather than just through images on the website," Mrs Culpitt, who opened the store last November, said.

"Our most popular item is the bird cage which customers can use as table decorations or as a type of wishing well at weddings."

Belle Adorn is open for trading on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

All other times are by appointment.
