Australia Day at Engadine goes downhill....lucky for the billycart kids

26 Jan, 2012 01:47 PM
Engadine residents have started an Australia Day billycart street race with 13 teams and more than 60 friends and neighbours cheering them on.

The two-hour event had heats, semis and finals, and there were trophies for the winners.

Resident Bruce Tindale sent in these photos of the event, now in its second year.

He said the the whole street was involved with planning and designing their own carts.

''What a top Australia Day tradition our street has started,'' he said.
