Counselling, support now more accessible

06 Nov, 2009 02:31 PM
COUNSELLING services are set to get a boost in Sydney's south when the Life Resolutions network opens its doors in Belgrave Street, Kogarah, today.

Principal psychologist Janice Killey said she was excited about her partnership with Life Resolutions and looked forward to providing the community with quality counselling in a supportive and caring environment.

"Spending time understanding and improving yourself is the most rewarding and worthwhile time spent,'' she said.

"Counselling is a step in the right direction in resolving and empowering your life to its fullest potential.''

Ms Killey said Medicare now included a rebate for psych-

ology services.

"It means that if you have been referred for counselling by your GP, psychiatrist or pediatrician you will be eligible for a significant rebate from the government,'' she said.

The opening of the new practice coincides with National Psychology Week (November 8-14).
