Diabetes help

PEOPLE with type 2 diabetes can now access free group programs under Medicare at the University of Wollongong.

A spokeswoman for the university said all patients needed to take part in the program was a GP referral.

"The programs are designed to assist people with type 2 diabetes take control of the management of their diabetes whether it be through exercise, diet, education or a combination all three areas,'' the spokeswoman said.

The program included an individual assessment and eight group-based sessions.

You are some lucky ducks. How were you able to manage to get such type of diabetes help in eight group sessions? Perhaps you can repeat attendance at the sessions. And all that is needed is a referral from the GP. Please educate us so we can have the same.
