ENGADINE Anglican Church will play a pivotal role in the Sydney-wide Big Day In which is the launch of Connect 09 tomorrow.
Connect 09 is a year-long campaign to encourage Anglicans to better connect with their community, their Christian roots and Jesus Christ.
All churches in the Sydney Anglican diocese are co-ordinated to begin their services at 9.45am via satellite link to the main telecast venue at Kellyville Anglican Church.
There will be live crosses to Colin Buchanan at the Engadine church who will do a musical children's segment.
Big screen televisions will be set up in the hall and in the main auditorium at Engadine Anglican Church so the service can be viewed by the large crowd expected.
Senior minister at the Engadine church the Reverend Rick Lewers said they were expecting approximately 450 people to attend the event.
``A lot of people who don't attend regularly will probably come because they know this is on,'' he said.
Mr Lewers said Archbishop Peter Jensen will be addressing the diocese during the service to encourage them to follow the spirit of the campaign.
``At the heart of it, Connect 09 is a rallying point to get people to better connect and that is certainly what the Archbishop wants us thinking about,'' he said.
The service will be broadcast live on free to air channel 44 and also on the Australian Christian cable channel.
