Food, views at Bella Costa

20/07/2008 5:00:00 AM
LOVERS of good Italian food know where to go in Sutherland Shire to Bella Costa at North Cronulla where the beautiful coastal views perfectly complement the food.

This landmark restaurant specialises in fresh seafood along with top pasta and risotto dishes.

When visiting Bella Costa, check the daily blackboard specials which currently include comforting winter dishes such as slow-roasted lamb shanks, crispy pork belly, homemade potato gnocchi with roast duckling and red wine ragout and more!

There is still plenty of time this month to enjoy a July lunch special: risotto of the day with a glass of wine available on Tuesdays to Fridays for a winter-saver price of $16.50.

There are more savings at Bella Costa with a midweek special menu offering a choice of five entrees, four mains and three desserts. The cost? Two courses for $35 or three courses for $40.

It's available for lunch Tuesdays to Saturdays, for dinner Tuesdays to Thursdays and for early diners on Fridays and Saturdays.

The regular menu includes entrees of five spice calamari ($16.50) and barbecued lime and chilli prawns ($18.50).

Mains include veal involtini with ham, spinach and capsicum ($30) and twice-roasted duckling ($34).

Our advice to Italian food lovers is to book now for Bella Costa's mid-August wine and food degustation dinner featuring seven courses served with De Bortoli wines.

Bella Costa is open Tuesdays to Sundays and is licensed.
