Tara Putri Doherty (pictured getting her face painted) was one of hundreds of residents who flocked to the Arncliffe Community Life Centre's Spring Festival last Saturday. An estimated 800 people attended the festival which included food stalls, entertainment, a petting zoo and pony rides. Everything provided on the day was for free with organisers saying the event was a thank-you for the community. Sponsors included Rockdale Council, Rocksia Hotel, Good Guys Rockdale and Fernwood Women's Gym. "We wanted to do something for the community and to develop the multicultural feel for the area,'' Arncliffe Community Life Centre president Ben Irawan said. PICTURE: Chris Lane
