 If the shoe fits....

If the shoe fits....

Shoefiti is a common sight around the suburbs but it's unusual to see such a colourful array.

Kaitlyn Bateup of Miranda took this shot on Kiora Rd Miranda while she was on her way to school.

Do you know what the story behind these coloured shoes is?

Shoefiti is a term used to describe shoes hanging over powerlines.

Theories behind the ''true meaning'' of the practice range from it signifying drug dealers live in the area to furious wives/mothers trying to get rid of their loved ones' excess sneaker collection.

There's a splinter group throwing bras over power lines.....it's called something the Leader Moderator can't let through but I'm sure you can all guess.

i ACTUALLY DO know how those shoes got there! a girl in my art clas at school painted them for an art asignment. maybe she shouldnt have thrown them up there but she did and personally, i loved it and wish they DIDNT take it down. i think the shire NEEDS some fun and quirky street art. there is a difference between street art and graffitti and i dont think this is graffitti! graffitti is ugly and offensive pointless tags. street art is actually something and has a meaning, whatever it may be... the orange dunlops (4th pair from the right) are mine! :D im not telling who or from what school. and btw, the meaning had NOTHING to do with drug dealers so far as i know! :P
