THEY might not have won their heat but these budding young dancers are still in with a chance on Channel Ten's Young Talent Time talent quest.
Lil Banditz Krew, an all-boy hip-hop outfit, recently competed in the open talent show component of the revamped series in front of a live audience and judges Tina Arena and Chucky Klapow.
The talented, 19-strong group of boys did not win their round, but they did make it into the wild card section, which could still get them into the semi-finals.
The entire Krew of 19 dancers from Sydney is aged 8-15, with six members coming from St George and Sutherland Shire.
Project Dance, a non-profit organisation run by seven Sydney dance schools including All Starz Performing Arts at Peakhurst, Planetdance at Menai and Ettingshausens Dynamic Arts at Kirrawee, formed Lil Banditz Krew six months ago.
All Starz Performing Arts director, Belinda Agostino, said the original audition had been open to all dancers.
"We're trying to promote a friendly, non-competitive environment for boys," she said.
"Some would compete against each other in competitions but now they have a common goal."
