MUCH of our history lies hidden or forgotten in boxes stored in people’s attics and garages. While sorting through his father’s estate recently, Patrick Gearon (jnr) came across some old super 8 footage of the Cronulla beachfront.
Th e film was shot by Patrick (snr) about Christmas in 1956, or possibly in very early January 1957. It gives a fascinating glimpse of Cronulla beach life more than 50 years ago. After some restoration and digital conversion a small clip of Cronulla’s past life.
