06 Nov, 2009 11:06 AM
Sutherland police seized 16 cannabis plants with a street value of $80,000 during a raid at Sutherland yesterday.

Police said the plants were grown with a hydroponic unit inside a flat near Flora Street.

A man, 22 and woman, 21, will face Sutherland Local Court next month charged with cultivating a prohibited plant and knowingly taking part in its cultivation.

They were granted conditional bail.
