ANGELA Vithoulkas will share her passion for the small business sector with listeners on her new radio show on community station 2SSR.
The two-hour show will air on Mondays at 6pm and will include discussions on matters concerning small business owners such as tax, finance and marketing.
She already has a list of 45 small business owners wanting to come on to the show.
"They've been so excited," Miss Vithoulkas said. She grew up watching her parents working long hours in their Lilli Pilli Gum Tree store and knew from a young age that she wanted to work for herself.
"My education at Lilli Pilli Public School and Caringbah High formed the person I was to become," she said.
She now runs the successful Vivo Cafe in the city with her brother and was awarded the Telstra Business Woman's Owner of the Year gong in 2007.
Miss Vithoulkas said despite the importance of the small business sector many owners felt they didn't have a voice.
"It is one of the most powerful sections of the community — this country keeps going because of us," she said.
Live streaming of the 2SSR shows will soon start, making it easier for people to contribute to the show through social media.
Listeners can also contribute to the show via The Angela's Business Mix Facebook page.
