The National Parks and Wildlife Service has changed its traffic management plan for the Royal National Park on Australia Day, after the previous plan caused outrage in Bundeena over Christmas.
Over the Christmas and New Year period, Bundeena residents said the old traffic plan resulted in guests not being able to visit them and added an extra two hours to their journey home.
NPWS Regional Manager Mike Patrick said that on Australia Day if the Royal filled up, a staged closure would occur, and that efforts would be made to keep Farnell Avenue open for park visitors and Bundeena and Maianbar residents.
However, Mr Patrick said with if the park became too full residents would have to head home via Waterfall as they did over Christmas.
What do you think of the parking plans for Royal?
