A SANS Souci woman is due to appear in Kogarah Local Court on September 16 after police allegedly found a pistol in her handbag.
The woman, 23, was arrested on Friday as she left a house in Sans Souci.
Police allege they found the Berretta pistol and two rounds of ammunition in her bag.
''The woman's arrest follows an investigation by officers into alleged proceeds of crime offences,'' a police spokesman said.
On the same day of the woman's arrest police searched homes in Punchbowl and Greenacre where it is alleged they found a substantial amount of cash buried in containers in a backyard and a quantity of steroids.
The operation follows the arrest on Thursday of two teenaged brothers from Punchbowl who are facing firearm and drugs charges.
