IT WAS a clean sweep for southern Sydney dancers at the Showcase national dance championships on the Gold Coast last month.
Four of the top major solo prizes across different age categories went to St George and Sutherland Shire dancers.
The talented dancers competed against others from across Australia to win their respective titles.
Joanne Williamson Dance Academy at Miranda had two students score top honours at the championships.
Talia Elfes, 8, won the petite section and Holly Doyle, 18, won the senior.
Both dancers will now move on to the next international round, with Talia headed for Disneyland in America and Holly going to Las Vegas, America.
RG Dance Academy student Talia Munro, 11, of Engadine, won the junior section and will also head to Disneyland for the next round.
Emily Seymour, 14, from All Starz Performing Arts at Peakhurst took home the pre-teen title. She will head to Canada for the next round.
