TAFE teachers take on a Supreme Court challenge

03 Nov, 2009 03:58 PM
The Teachers Federation lodged a Supreme Court challenge today at 11am, to contest an Industrial Relations Commission (IRC) decision on the fate of TAFE teachers.

The federation has publicly expressed their disappointment with the October 15 decision, that allowed for changes to the working conditions of TAFE teachers.

The federation said that the changes amount to a 20 per cent increase in work, to fund an average 1.5% annual salary increase.
