Time to celebrate Royal's makeover

08 Feb, 2012 02:00 PM
THE National Parks and Wildlife Service has settled on a new day for the celebration marking the renovation of the Audley precinct in the Royal National Park after heavy rains forced its cancellation last year.

Sunday, February 19 is the new date for the event, which celebrates the upgrade to the Audley dance hall and the completion of a new-look visitor centre, caf? and function centre.

A service spokesman said the day would have activities for the whole family, including a wildlife encounter exhibition, appearances by Wanda the Wombat, market and food stalls, and entertainment.

Visitors are encouraged to use the free shuttle bus which will run from Bundeena and Sutherland.
