Would-be models freeze for a hot chance on TV

MAKING a pretty face in less than desirable conditions seems a tough task, but aspiring models managed to pull it off without a hitch.

Contestants vying for this year's Australia's Next Top Model crown braved freezing wind, rain and rough seas at a photo shoot on Garie Beach recently.

The girls were on location in the Royal National Park, where they posed in long, flowing dresses against the stormy backdrop.

Garie Surf Life Saving Club were on hand to assist the show's production team, who set up camp in a secluded part of the beach.

But they attracted the attention and screams of girls from a private college, who were at the beach on an excursion.

The final episode airs next Tuesday on Fox 8.
