A GOOD record has helped clear boxer Nader Hamdan over his outburst following his controversial split-decision loss to Junior Talipeau last month.
Hamdan had to front the
Boxing Authority of NSW on July 6 following interview comments about judges after the fight.
"I'm happy with the outcome,'' said Hamdan, of Kingsgrove.
"But I still feel robbed.
"It's good to be able to fight again if I want to but after the way [the judges] treated me I don't really know.''
With a pro career spanning 51 fights over 13 years, Hamdan said it was the first time he had appeared in front of the judiciary.
He was disappointed with being interviewed straight after the fight while still emotional.
"You can't put a microphone to a bloke that was robbed,'' he said.
Hamdan will take time off from fighting during the Muslim holy period of Ramadan (August-September) before moving up to cruiserweight.
Talipeau has a planned fight at Sharkies Leagues Club next month.
