New attitude, new trainer and a new technique but Billy Dib still has the same goal ... to dominate the world.
Hurstville pocket dynamo Dib has evolved as both a boxer and a person after suffering his first professional loss against Steven Luevano in US last year.
Dib, 23, has linked with renowned trainer Billy Hussein for the past six months and "The Kid'' said he had witnessed a remarkable improvement in his technique.
"I am a lot more clever,'' Dib said.
"Early in my career I would square up with my hands down but Billy has tightened up my defence.
"It was good to bring someone fresh and I think it's a whole new respect factor as well.
"He can tell me to do something and I really believe in what he is saying.''
The pair made their in-ring debut together when Dib fought the previously undefeated Davey Brown Jnr.
Dib beat him via an eighth round technical decision after Browne was cut above both eyes.
He will return to the ring against Kenichi Yamaguchi, of Japan, on Thursday.
The WBO Asia Pacific featherweight title will be on the line with the event to be shown live on Channel 10.
"I'm expecting a tough fight,'' Dib said.
"I've seen a few fights of his. He is very awkward and comes from different angles.
"He seems a bit cocky.''
The bout will be held at Luna Park.
* Billy Dib and fellow St George resident Anthony Mundine will feature as part of the new-look Fight Night Round 4 video game. It is the first time any Australian boxers will take part in the world-wide game which features legends such as Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier and Mike Tyson. The game is available now.
