 Dragons out of premiership race

Dragons out of premiership race

21 Sep, 2009 09:36 AM
IT was a case of de ja vu for St George Illawarra fans as the Dragons were bundled out of the finals series with a 24-10 loss on Saturday night.

A crowd of 50,225 packed into Suncorp Stadium for the do-or-die clash.

St George Illawarra started poorly with Broncos fullback Karmichael Hunt scoring a double in the first 20 minutes.

The Dragons bounced back through winger Brett Morris and went into the half-time break just six points behind.

But two tries in the space of four minutes to Jharal Yow Yeh and Lagi Setu put the result beyond the Dragons reach.

Brisbane finished the match 24-10.

Bring Back Nathan Brown as first grade coach.Wayne Bennett is hopeless! In 2008, Cronulla Sharks reached the semis and lost two games in a row. In 2009 Cronulla won the wooden spoon. In 2009 St George Illawarra lose two semis in a row after winning the minor premiership. In 2010 The Dragons will get the Wooden SpoonQ!

St George makes me sick. The mass media told us St George Would win the NRL Premiership due to Wayne Bennett as coach. Yet ST George played disgracefully in the semis. At least the Bulldogs won at least one semi final.

Mr Farris, like most Dragons supporters your lack of intelligence is apparent once you open your mouth. In 2008, the Sharks did not lose two finals matches, unlike St Choke I'magoner. They won their first match convincingly and then were beaten in the preliminary final (which the Dragons didn't make it to) Likewise, they did not win the wooden spoon in 2009, that title is held by the Roosters. In fact, the only thing you may yet get right in your post is the fact that the Dragons may get the wooden spoon next year.
