Dragons, Sharks ready for season proper

01 Mar, 2010 08:36 AM
ST George Illawarra and Cronulla wrapped up their preparations for the 2010 with differing performances on Saturday night.

The Dragons led by some enterprising attacking football clawed their way back to a last minute draw with South Sydney in front of almost 30,000 fans at ANZ Stadium.

A late try to Brett Morris brought the teams level right on full-time with half Jamie Soward unable to convert from the sideline to give St George Illawarra a win.

While a disappointing Sharks side went down 36-12 against Wests Tigers at Bluetongue Stadium in Gosford.

See tomorrow's Leader for full details.
