Real estate reporter and features writer Sheree Mutton has launched an online fashion accessories website.
Type "StyleU" into your web browser and there splashed across the screen is jewellery madness galore — enough to make the fellow shop-a-holic froth with style envy.
Within three weeks of going live, the e-store has had more than 100,000 hits and 10,000 visits from fashion-frenzied clickers.
The site started as an e-magazine a few years ago but Sheree, who studied journalism and gained experience in styling, saw a demand for affordable, on-trend jewellery to cater for the modern shopper.
Known for her love of brights, she searches the style capitals of the world for stock you would find in her wardrobe.
StyleU has necklaces, cuffs, bangles, rings and earrings from LA and New York — where Sheree spent a few months last year gaining inspiration.
"There are only a handful of chain jewellery stores, and most women I speak to want something different," Sheree said. "The best part about StyleU is that you don't have to travel overseas or pay high shipping costs to get fabulous pieces from around the world.
"I'm continuing to grow the range."
Best sellers include large statement necklaces and cuffs, but also making a mark are the smaller pieces including cocktail rings or earrings.
"There is constantly new stock coming," Sheree said. "There will be more colours and patterns to reflect the autumn and winter seasons."
