THE Cronulla Sharks have thrown their support behind a charity golf day being held for the St George and Sutherland Medical Research Foundation.
The event, at Cronulla Golf Club, on October 21, will be hosted by Cronulla financial planner Michael Lehner, who helped introduce the foundation to its financial supporter St George Bank.
Mr Lehner, of Integral Asset Management, said money raised would support vital research at St George and Sutherland hospitals.
Projects being funded by the foundation this year include research into inflammatory bowel disease, foetal cardiac function in complicated pregnancies, thrombosis formation and nurse-directed outpatient care.
About 130 players are expected to take part in the day, which has attracted big-name sponsors.
Individual tickets are $125. Hole signage is $900 and includes four tickets.
There will also be an awards dinner with lucky door prizes for corporate groups and individuals.
