SUTHERLAND Sharks players Nick Olsen and Chris Naumoff and coach Andrew Smith have volunteered valuable time to train members of the Caringbah Redbacks U7E2's team.
During the summer, Olsen plays for the Western Sydney Wanderers youth team and Naumoff, the Sydney FC youth team.
Sutherland Sharks offered the training session last week as a prize from a raffle won by the father of a Caringbah Redbacks' player.
Lisa Hodge, mother of player James Bristow, said the boys had a "brilliant" time.
"They had a go at heading the ball, and doing some ball and running drills," Hodge said.
"Other Sharks management and members came up to us (the parents), during the training and made us feel very welcome."
Mrs Hodge said the training must have worked well as the Caringbah Redbacks U7E2's team followed it with a win in their game on Saturday.
