Aboriginal author and Yuin Elder Uncle Max Dulumunmun Harrison has been teaching his traditional culture on the NSW south coast to thousands of people over the decades.
The visitors have included international students, architects, environmentalists, government ministers and advisers.
The writer of numerous educational books will give a talk at 7pm on Thursday, September 5, at Sutherland Central Library.
The library and Sutherland Shire Reconciliation is presenting the talk to mark Indigenous Literacy Day.
Uncle Max will talk about his book, My People's Dreaming: an Aboriginal elder speaks on life, land, spirit and forgiveness.
The book will be for sale ($39.95, cash) on the night and there is a gold coin donation for the talk.
