TAREN Point claimed the ultimate Bowls NSW prize, winning the 2013 Grade 1 State Pennant flag at Merimbula.
John Green was named player of the final, which marked the club's second grade one pennant flag win in their 60-year history.
They defeated defending champions Cabramatta and dominated the final against Belrose 67 to 43.
The team was bolstered by the in-form Green and international representatives, New Zealand's Ali Forsyth and Australian Commonwealth Games gold and silver medallist Wayne Turley.
Taren Point also dominated St George and Sutherland Shire Zone Championships, with Damien Lewis the president singles winner, and Colin Walker and Shane Allard presidents pairs winners.
Reg McCulla, John Green and Wayne Turley won the zone triples, while Green and Turley also took out the zone pairs. Zone fours was won by Steve Garry, Simon Lyttle, Matt Miles and Cy Threlfall, and the veterans singles was won by Leon Ling.
Taren Point had a great start to the Champions League, winning three out of four rounds and junior bowlers Chloe James and Jake Chapman won selection for the City versus Country match in October.
In the Grade 3 State Pennant Final at Wollongong, Taren Point lost out to Revesby Workers 60 to 56.
