SHOURYA Nidhi has become a role model for the Indian community with several awards acknowledging his work.
He received the young person of the year award from the Governor of NSW, Marie Bashir (pictured), and Oatley MP Mark Coure at the recent St George Community Awards ceremony.
He was awarded best actor award at Indradhanush Festival of 10-minute plays at Shopfront Theatre, Carlton. His play The Hostage was picked up at Top 80, Short+Sweet festival, and he had rave reviews for his acting.
Shourya recently appeared in Raghunandan Gudur's Telegu film NRI (Now Return to India) and played the lead in Taraka Ram's film Never Give Up, which will be part of Sydney Tropfest in December.
Shourya has tried his hand at scriptwriting, direction and editing.
A portrait by Shourya was showcased in the Living Hurstville: Portraits of a Community exhibition at Hurstville Library, Museum and Gallery.
The photography exhibition celebrated the interests and passions of people who live, work and play in the Hurstville local government area.
