TWO-time race winner Chris Sutton of Miranda came close to adding a third title when he was pipped at the post on the finish line of Saturday's exciting Cronulla Cycling Grand Prix.

The Team Sky pro rider moved himself through the middle of the field with a few laps to go and grabbed the wheel of the fast-finishing fellow Australian pro, Mark Renshaw (Belkin Pro Cycling).
'CJ' Sutton, son of the great Gary Sutton, looked the winner when he hit the lead 50 metres out, but little NSW Institute of Sport rider Caleb Ewan flew down the outside to win by half a wheel at the Elouera Beach finish-line, with big Drapac pro Thomas Palmer third.
Earlier in the women's event, also televised live by the Nine Network, Cronulla's Rochelle Gilmore's Wiggle Honda team finished 1,2,3 when Lauren Kitchen broke away with a few laps to go to beat team-mates, German world champion Charlotte Becker and New Zealander, Emily Collins.
The Cronulla event was to be followed by the second leg of the NSWGrand Prix, in Wollongong Sunday afternoon.
