FANS of the hit Network Ten reality show So You Think You Can Dance Australia should know what is ahead for the five St George and Sutherland Shire contestants who made it into the top 100.
Ballet dancer and Cronulla Sharks cheerleader Maddie Peat, of Cronulla, and contemporary dancer Eden Petrovski, of Sutherland, made the top 100 of the competition alongside urban and jazz dancer Chris Tsattalios, of Kogarah Bay, and sisters Hannah and Lauren Seymour, of Peakhurst.
They were chosen during auditions held across the country.
In upcoming episodes of the show, which airs Sunday night, judges will select the top 20 dancers — 10 boys and 10 girls — who will go on to compete in the live competition shows.
Contemporary dancer Petrovski, 20, was ready for a tough competition.
‘‘It would be a dream come true to make it through to the top 20 and there are so many styles of dance in the live section that it would be a great challenge,’’ she said.
Peat, 19 said: ‘‘I’m really nervous to see the show. It’s such a stressful week so it will be scary to watch’’.
The Seymour sisters will each vie for a place in the top 20.
‘‘Making the top 100 was one of the most exciting things to have happened to me so far and if either of us has made the top 20 it would be hardest challenge that a dancer could hope for,’’ said Lauren, 22, a lyrical jazz dancer.
‘‘We get to go up against so many diverse dancers and to make the top 20 would just be a dream come true,’’ jazz dancer Hannah, 19, said.
Tsattalios, 21, a long-time fan of the program, is  a professional dancer and dance teacher.
‘‘I think it is an incredible opportunity and one that a lot of people wanted so I feel very honoured and excited to dance in front of the judges,’’ he said.
