LOVERS of folky rock music are in for a treat courtesy of singer-songwriter Joshua James.
The Nebraksa-born-and-raised artist is in the country for a string of shows supporting legendary Kiwi musician Neil Finn.
James will perform a couple of headline shows including a gig at the Brass Monkey, Cronulla, on March 21.
James will perform songs from his most recent album From the Top of Willamette Mountain, released last November in Australia.
"On this Australian tour we're playing as a two-piece, just me and a good friend of mine who plays guitar and sings with me," James said.
"It's a little bit more intimate than playing with the four-piece, and hopefully a memorable experience.
"We've had a bunch of people come out so far who have heard the record and people seem to be reacting well to it."
From the Top of Willamette Mountain was preceded by the Queen of the City single.
Special guest is Dylan Wright, a talented Sydney-based singer-songwriter.
