A Woolooware man is expected to appear in court next month, charged with not stopping during a police chase at Miranda today.
Police were patrolling President Avenue at 2.30am when they saw a Toyota Kluger speeding west.
Officers attempted to stop the Kluger, then chased it into Wandella Road where it mounted a median strip.
The police pursuit was terminated but 30 minutes later officers saw the Kluger and several men in a nearby car park.
Officers searched one of the men and found a key to the Kluger.
Police said a few tablets, believed to be ecstasy, and a folding pocket knife were found.
A Woolooware man, 53, was arrested and taken to Miranda police station and charged with police pursuit – not stopping (Skye’s Law), possessing a prohibited drug and having a knife in a public place.
He was granted bail and is expected to appear in Sutherland Local Court on April 24.
