I read with interest the article headed "Enrolments plunge after TAFE fee rise" (Leader, March 25).
Sydney TAFE is overwhelmingly committed to ceramics as part of its fine arts program.
Readers may be interested to know that our ceramics courses continue to provide valuable skills and industry-based experience and we are delighted that students like Clarissa Regan (pictured right) are able to secure great employment pathways from their study at Sutherland College.
Far from suffering an "enrolment plunge", there is a healthy and strong student enrolment in ceramics programs in 2014 at Sutherland College and many of our 2013 graduates have found exciting employment pathways as a result of their study.
Readers may also be interested in attending the ceramics exhibition at the Kerrie Lowe Gallery in Newtown on April 4, which features the outstanding work of a number of TAFE NSW ceramics graduates.
