Mortdale residents waiting to shop at the new Woolworths in Roberts Avenue or use the new gym will have to wait at least another month before the building can open its doors — four months after the scheduled opening.
Project manager for Romanous Developments, Danny Romanous, said they were ‘‘pulling together all their resources’’ to make sure the building was ready to open in that time.
Mr Romanous said the building was finished but there were several certificates still to be finalised.
The development has been the cause of much rumour among residents who have been waiting since Christmas to enjoy the convenience of a new supermarket.
Some have joined Crunch gym in anticipation but have not used their membership yet.
