IT APPEARS that Kogarah has just invented another annual event it can put on its already busy social calendar.
Judging by the feedback, the Kogarah Community Festival hosted by Kogarah Community Services (KCS) on Saturday, April 5 was a great success. KCS is a federal and state-funded independent community organisation.
KCS executive officer Shelley Ross said people loved the opportunity to get together, interact with local businesses, enjoy the entertainment and help a charity.
She said the town centre was full of people obviously having a good time.
A highlight of the two-hour festival, the Kogarah Community Challenge, attracted 14 teams which raced around eight pit stops to win prizes.
All money raised is to go to the Joanne Mackay Breast Cancer Foundation, a St George-based charity.
Did you enjoy the event?
