Re: "Developer's win: three-storey addition questioned" (Leader, April 3).
Kudos to both Cr Lachlan McLean (pictured) and Cr Kathryn Landsberry for their noble efforts in trying to halt developer dominance of Kogarah City.
Whilst yet another developer has been openly allowed to flaunt building compliance controls, ignore voluntary planning agreements and enjoy substantial profit at the expense of the community, it is becoming very apparent that these two councillors alone understand that the role of councillor is, as an elected person, to represent the concerns and interests of the residents and ratepayers.
This is sadly missing in the balance of the Kogarah councillors who despite promising to stop inappropriate and over development in their election campaigns, appear to have forgotten their commitment to the community who voted them in.
