Morrison supported

Re the article "Refugee backlash" (Leader, April 8). I would suggest the article which states Scott Morrison does not have support from shire residents on the "stop the boats policy" is misleading.

While I accept that some people may not support the policy, as a long-time shire resident I can state that I and the vast majority of people I discuss this issue with strongly support the actions of Scott Morrison.

I believe there is strong support for the government's actions in protecting our national borders, which was a central policy of the coalition prior to their convincing election win.
