MENAI High School has launched a learning program for senior students.
The education goal plan helps students map out their career pathways before they graduate.
Personal Learning Plans was established at the beginning of this year.
The initiative enables students to identify academic areas in need of improvement and, through consultation with teachers and parents, devise plans to target these areas.
Each term, students meet with their peers in teacher-led groups to design, discuss and revise their plans. Initially, plans were limited to target indigenous teens and students with learning needs but from this year, the whole school community is taking part.
It is led by program co-ordinator and head teacher of administration, Luke Meagher.
He said it enables students of all academic levels to set challenging goals for themselves.
"Each one is individual, and engages students in short and long-term planning, towards academic improvement and success," he said.
"They have been fantastic, and we are already seeing great things come out of them.
"It's something we're all passionate about."
