THOSE hoping to spot the twilight lunar eclipse on Tuesday were disappointed after cloud cover obscured their view.
But many people around Australia managed to take photos, see a gallery here.
Sydneysiders may still be able to view a partial solar eclipse when the moon takes a "bite" out of the sun on Tuesday, April 29.
The partial eclipse will begin in Sydney at 4.14pm and end at 5.17pm when the sun sets.
At its maximum at 5.15pm, the moon will cover 52 per cent of the sun's width.
But people are warned not to look directly at the sun.
