St George Illawarra Dragons bounced back to the winner's list with a 20-10 win over New Zealand Warriors on Saturday night at WIN Jubilee Oval, Kogarah.
The Dragons entered the match on a three-game losing streak and the three tries to two victory restored confidence to the team.
Coming back from the heart-breaking loss on fulltime the previous Monday against Melbourne Storm, the Dragons led 12-0 at halftime against the Warriors.
They had to withstand a Warriors fightback in the second half to receive the two premiership points.
Jason Nightingale scored a spectacular try in the first half and English recruit Mike Copper scored his first for the club just before halftime.
A crowd of 10,559 cheered on the men in red and white, with the victory taking the Dragons to sixth on the premiership ladder.
Hooker Mitch Rein had a superb game and was the Dragons best.
In round eight, the Dragons tackle the Sydney Roosters in the traditional Anzac Day game at Allianz Stadium at 4pm.
