VETERANS, their partners, war widows and widowers began receiving their first full pension payments at the new rates on April 17.
Veterans Affairs Minister Senator Michael Ronalson said the pension increase affected more than 272,000 people, with the first pension increase approved on March 20.
A single service pension will rise from $827.10 to $842.80 a fortnight.
