Detectives investigating the sexual and indecent assault of a teenage girl at a McDonald’s restaurant car park at Heathcote have released CCTV footage of a group of men whom may be able to assist with their inquiries.
Shortly before 5am on Sunday, April 20, police were called to the McDonald’s on the Princes Highway after a girl, 15, was sexually assaulted by a man at the southern end of the car park.
It is believed the girl had been speaking to a group of seven men inside the restaurant from 4am.
At about 4.20am, the girl was led from the restaurant by one of the men and sexually assaulted.
Police were called and the girl was taken for treatment to Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.
State Crime Command’s Child Abuse Squad detectives from Strike Force Vadno are investigating the incident.
Investigators today released three CCTV still images and two footage files that show people believed to be at the restaurant around the time of the assault.
The first image depicts a man, with dark hair, in his late teens or 20s. He appears to have a cigarette in his mouth and is wearing a blue/grey shirt with rolled-up sleeves and dark jeans.
The second image depicts a man in his late teens or 20s. He has short dark hair and wearing a dark V-neck T-shirt with a print on the front, dark jeans and white shoes.
The third image depicts two men.
One person is in his 20s with short, dark hair and wearing a short-sleeved, checked shirt, dark jeans and dark shoes, and carrying a drink in his right hand.
The second person appears to be in his 20s, has a dark beard and wearing a red open-neck shirt or T-shirt and a dark jacket.
